Yellow flowery bags – an example of reuse

August 9, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I’m here to show you two of the most recent bags I’ve assembled as gifts. My favorite part of them – the exterior is a fun yellow tablecloth and the interior is a vintage sheet – both from Goodwill. So, they are totally being recycled for this new purpose. I knew I had scored when […]

Fun with fabric

July 20, 2010 by Kim Woodward

When I heard that Shelby wanted a “made-by-Kim bag” for her birthday, I was delighted. I couldn’t decide what bag would be better liked by a 10-year-old, so we gave her two. And a holder for colored pencils. Shelby’s favorite color is purple and both have a touch of the color. And, I don’t think […]

Quick gift for a bride

May 27, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I haven’t had much time to sit down and write blog posts like I used to. But, I hope that I’ll make some time soon. (Just pretend that you miss me. It’s good for my self-esteem.) Anyhoo – here’s a peek at a gift I gave to a friend getting married this weekend. I just […]

Cheap, cheap, drapes, drapes

March 22, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I’ve been talking about putting panels in our office/craft room since December. I finally did it. And, I think I love it. And, did I mention all four panels and the rods cost under $25? Not bad, huh? All curtains are made from one large drop cloth. I’m just one of many who have discovered […]

Funky quilted table runner

March 16, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I finished quilting and binding the table runner previewed here. In the end, I like it. It’s been a while since I’ve quilted, so this was probably a good way to ease back into it. I had some trouble with the binding, but it looks bright and cheery in the end. What’s your current project?

Yet another bag

March 15, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I just cannot stop myself. I made another bag. This one. I love. I found a great old seed/feed sack at the flea market for $3. It was pretty big bag with few stains and it was soft from years of use. So, it came home with me. I wanted to repurpose it. Because I love […]
