New additions to Lucille’s modern floral nursery

April 17, 2018 by Kim Woodward

All the cliches about parenthood are so true. They grow up so fast. It really does feel like I blinked and Lucy turned 6 months old. As she grows, she also gets more and more fun. I truly think every stage is my favorite when it’s happening. Right now, she loves to grab and play […]

A pretty and practical changing table

October 31, 2017 by Kim Woodward

Henry’s tiny bedroom

January 9, 2015 by Kim Woodward

Henry is obsessed with the barn. He actually cries when we make him leave. And when anyone comes over, he has to bring them into his room right away for a tour. And then he shuts the door and makes them sit on the bed. (When my aunt and uncle were visiting, I think there […]

A guitar and a growth chart (Nursery updates)

July 3, 2013 by Kim Woodward

I believe there are two types of decorators. There are those decorators who “do” a room and keep the “bones” nearly the same forever. There could be some new artwork, a new pillow or knick knacks. But, the paint, woodwork, light fixtures, and furniture have a long life. Then there are those decorators who change […]

A glossy red rocking chair

April 23, 2013 by Kim Woodward

You know it’s spring in the Midwest when … A. Your basement floods. B. You wear short sleeves despite 50 degree temperatures. C. Over a 24 hour period, you witness sleet, snow, rain and 75 degrees. D. Avoiding mud is no longer an option. So you don’t fight it. E. You drag every piece of […]

Update: A classic boy nursery at (almost) 8 months

January 23, 2013 by Kim Woodward

So, I love pretty nursery photos as much as anyone. But I’m also aware that a nursery is intended to be a comfortable and safe place for baby to grow. It has to be useful, people. So, while I was taking photos of Henry’s crib and skirt for yesterday’s post, I thought I’d take some […]
