A holiday-ready kitchen

December 14, 2017 by Kim Woodward

A holiday ready kitchen | NewlyWoodwards01

If you know me, you know I believe more is more when when it comes to holiday decorating. But in the kitchen, I do a little less – because it’s a hardworking holiday space. It’s still plenty of festive, but there aren’t decorations on every available surface.

We use the kitchen constantly over the holidays – to bake, to entertain and even to hang out. That means the kitchen needs to be ready-to-go. No time to clear stuff off all the surfaces.

And it also needs to be disinfected and cleaned. That’s where PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant comes in.

How to decorate a designer Christmas tree

December 12, 2017 by Kim Woodward

So I’m back to share some of my favorite details – including how I create a lush and festive “designer” style tree. These are the trees you swoon over in stores or on blogs. They look full and lush and are filled with loads of decorative touches.

And it’s a lot simpler to create this look than you’d think.

A family Christmas tree with a handmade touch

December 7, 2017 by Kim Woodward

Is your home ready for the holidays?

There’s truly no place I’d rather be than home.

And that also includes the store. Which is why I’ve done almost all our holiday shopping this year from the comfort of my computer. In my pajamas.

We are living in the future.

A very merry Christmas tablescape

December 5, 2017 by Kim Woodward

Is there anything that screams Christmas more than the color red, plaids, and colorful Christmas lights? Of course not.

And that’s exactly why these elements were perfect for our very merry Christmas tablescape. Why choose just one when you can integrate them all?

More is always more, am I right?

Christmas home tour | A playfully modern living room

November 29, 2017 by Kim Woodward

If I were to describe our holiday decorating style this year, I would call it playfully modern. I’m having fun mixing graphic patterns, classic details, bright colors and playful touches. And it’s perfectly livable for our family, which is a must.

Nowhere is this feel more evident than our living room – where our family spends so much of our time together. It’s feeling totally festive and Santa-ready now.

Black and red holiday mantel inspiration

November 28, 2017 by Kim Woodward

The holiday season is upon us. And if you know me at all, you know I’m already covered in red glitter. If you don’t know me, I love Christmas. I’ve got holiday scents burning. I’ve got the Christmas station on repeat. And I’m on my third peppermint mocha in the past 2 days.

My friends – I train all year for this. Christmas is basically my SUPER BOWL. And I’m going for a touch down. Or something. Go, sports!

Today, I’m thrilled to share our first completed space for the holidays – the living room mantel. I became a little more obsessed with black and red for the holidays and it really shows here.
