DIY shiplap walls and farmhouse trim

Yes. We are STILL working on the basement and the DIY shiplap walls. (We started the basement project back in June.)

This is real life DIY. And real life DIY comes with pregnancy and bed rest (me) and 5 broken ribs (Ryan). That means that finishing the basement has taken about 3 months longer than we anticipated. 

But, I think it will be worth the wait.

A pretty and practical changing table

When it comes to designing a nursery, I think it can be both pretty AND practical.

And nowhere needs more practicality than the changing table. In our home, the changing table is an extra hardworking space – all day and night. It’s truly a storage piece that packs a punch. (See Lucille’s whole nursery.)

And while our changing table functions well, it also looks great.

Candy corn mantel for Halloween

Miss Lucille Rose arrived a little early, but she’s perfect and we are settling in at home quite nicely. (Spending lots of time in that pretty nursery.)
