A Seussical shower for thing one

January 19, 2011 by Kim Woodward

Ryan’s brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first child (and our first niece or nephew). So, that calls for a extra-special shower for the momma-to-be.

Keri is decorating the nursery in Dr. Seuss (LOVE!) so we went all out on Seuss theme. We’ve been planning for months and it has now kicking into full gear. Keri’s sister Beccy is a graphic designer, so she put together the amazing invitation suite.
I blocked out the location, but don’t you LOVE the directional cards with “Fish marks the spot?” So cute. Even the envelope is fabulous.
If you like the Seuss theme, check out my “Thing One, Thing Two” shower. I love a good shower theme.
Can’t wait to share all the details with you after the shower. Lots of fun things in the works.

First off… LOVE the invites! They are so adorable. And if you love Dr. Suess, wait till I show you a picture from one of the houses we looked at. I will even give you a shout out when I post it 😉

Secondly, congrats on being come an aunt and uncle. The love you will have for the child, even the first time you meet him or her, will blow you away. It is the most amazing thing ever.

I’m throwing my college roommates baby shower (1st baby) in the spring and I was thinking of doing a Dr. S theme…..totally stealing your ideas. 🙂 Thanks!

Such a sweet idea! A pal and I were recently discussing a Seuss themed Christmas tree….but a nursery? Genius!

The invites are amazing. I also snuck back to your Seuss shower…totally cataloging that for future showers! 🙂

Such an adorable idea! I loved the Thing 1/Thing 2 shower as well. You’re so creative – any ideas for a couple’s shower – game night theme? We’re throwing it at the end of April!
