It’s day two of Halloween-palooza. If you missed yesterday, I shared a gaggle of ideas for Halloween party decor.
Today, it’s food time. Which is my favorite time.

But before we get to the monster munch, I nearly forgot to share one of my favorite areas to decorate yesterday – the stairs. These are the only kind of mice allowed in my house – black paper mice for decoration.
Now, let’s chat about Halloween food. Because we were catering to toddlers, I wanted simple food. But, since adults would also be in the house, I wanted to have fun with the Halloween theme. Most of these ideas were found on Pinterest, so I’ll try to share the inspiration as I go.

First … mandarin oranges cups with a Jack ‘O Lantern face in Sharpie. (Inspired by The Sweatman Family.)
Next up … mozzarella and cheddar slices, cut into pumpkin shapes. These were devoured by kids and adults alike. Winner: CHEESE.

Then there was candy corn almond bark. (I didn’t use a recipe – just melted almond bark and orange candy melts and mixed into a lined pan with candy corn.)
And my favorite – banana ghosts and orange pumpkins. (Inspired by Space Ships and Laser Beams.) (Ryan informed me that the oranges were NASTY and the celery ruined them. FYI. I still think they are cute.)

And who could forget the drinks – I had to wrap all the water in scrapbook paper with washi tape. Because I’m insane.

And I was so stinkin’ excited to make this Candy Corn Punch. (Inspired by Better Homes and Gardens.) It didn’t turn out perfectly, but I think it still looked like candy corn. It may have been uber-sweet, but everyone seemed to like it. And my kid drank so much of it that he’s still bouncing off the walls. (I cannot imagine why. ORANGE SODA.)

Ca-ute! I love that you ran with so many of them! I want to make the candy corn bark too, mostly because Gabe has discovered the stuff and now asks for it every 2 hours on the dot. “Maybe some candy corn?”
Needless to say, I’ve got a gigantic bag of it and would like to bark-ify it.
All of it is so smart…but now i REALLY want some candy corn bark…my goodness that looks yummy.
What fun food ideas!! No Halloween parties that I’m throwing but I am participating with my office mates in a decorating contest for our office building this year…. still trying to figure out what we are going to do within our theme and pinning more ideas every day! lol 😉
