A Christmas card tree

December 21, 2017 by Kim Woodward

Only a few days until Christmas and I have one last tree to show you – our wall mounted tree in the stairway.

This year, we used this tree to hang our Christmas cards and it’s a perfect way to keep them visible throughout the holiday season. Plus, it takes up very little space and adds a little extra sparkle in the hallway, which is a bonus.

The tree started out fairly simple, with lights and a few “Twelve Days of Christmas” ornaments that Henry hung for me. (He hung them perfectly spaced. I didn’t have to move any of them.)

But I had big plans for this little tree – and as Christmas cards arrived, they were hooked onto the tree with clothespins. (I made the Christmas lights clothespins a few years ago.)

I love sending and receiving holiday cards, and I love being able to see them all in one place. This tree filled up quickly.

The Reindeer Treats rug/wall hanging was purchased locally, and it is the perfect statement in this area. It’s also visible from the living room, which is a nice perk.

Here are a few of our other trees through the years:

It seems that not too many folks send cards anymore…
    Your tree is so festive.
Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday. Be blissed! ;0D

Such a great idea–it sounds so fun to watch the tree filling up with cards as the days go by!
