Garage revamp

June 23, 2009 by Kim Woodward

I don’t know if I can call this a revamp, in all honestly. We ripped the garage down and rebuilt it. Oh well, I guess I can call it whatever I want. =) But, in honor of our GARAGE SALE this weekend, I’m spotlighting the revamp of the home of our cars, tools, bikes, gardening […]

It’s raining, it’s pouring

June 22, 2009 by Kim Woodward

It’s been raining like CRAZY lately, which is annoying when Franco and Lola refuse to go outside (little divas), but it’s great for the plants – and particularly our rain garden.  I planted a few more things in the rain garden, because a few of the plants didn’t take and it wasn’t filling out enough […]

Garden Progress, mid-June edition

June 15, 2009 by Kim Woodward

Everything seems to be growing well. Weeding is turning into a big job, even with a smaller garden. But, I’ve been keeping up. The recent rains seem to have helped all the plants. The mini pumpkins (in the back) are going crazy. I’m hoping to grow them in the tomato cage. Snap peas are growing […]

Flower Boxes and other curb appeal progress

May 28, 2009 by Kim Woodward

We are slowly but surely getting the outside of our home spruced up. We finally got our window boxes up on the side of the house. I planted some various annuals so hopefully they will take well in full sun. (PS. The window boxes were cedar boxes from Menards that I picked up for $8 […]

Sweet Summertime

May 27, 2009 by Kim Woodward

The mister is back home (big cheer). Plus, the weather was beautiful last weekend, just in time to usher in summer. So, we had to have a barbeque with our parents to celebrate. I busted out the apron and Ryan manned the grill.  Lola handled clean-up. What did you do to celebrate the holiday weekend?

Garden progress

May 27, 2009 by Kim Woodward

I thought it was time to show the progress of our garden with some photographs. It’s really starting to grow. Especially the side with the lettuce and broccoli. And here are my little peppers, eggplant and pumpkins. These are little pumpkins I picked up from the Silvis Garden Club And peppers (which were started from […]
