Garden progress

May 27, 2009 by Kim Woodward

I thought it was time to show the progress of our garden with some photographs. It’s really starting to grow.
Especially the side with the lettuce and broccoli.

And here are my little peppers, eggplant and pumpkins.

These are little pumpkins I picked up from the Silvis Garden Club

And peppers (which were started from seeds inside)
Eggplant (also started from seeds by yours truly)
Lettuce (bought in a 6 pack from Lowes)
Brocolli (purchased from Lowes)
Cauliflower #1
and the struggling Cauliflower #2 (both from K-Mart)
Radishes (started from seeds outdoors). I’m so excited to pick these babies.
Stawberries (from Home Depot)
Tomatoes (from Silvis Garden Club)

And cucumbers

How is your garden growing?

Hi Kim~ How long before you get to eat some of that yummy-looking lettuce? : ) My green beans and one pea are the only ones to sprout so far…but, I tried planting them all from seed straight into the ground…so, I may need to buy some plants if none of them decide to grow : ( I love watching the progress, though! so fun.

Wow, that looks so great! So many people in my neighborhood have started garden boxes either on the side of the house of in the back of their lot. My parents did the same thing at their house too! Maybe next year I can hop on that band wagon. For now, I just hope they share what they grow! 🙂

    Your garden looks amazing!

It looks great – you are really making your dreams come to fruition. How are you liking square foot gardening?

Love the garden. Hopefully one day when we have a bigger house and yard I can do this.

I am almost licking my screen with those radishes poking out…. jealous ! I only planted tomatoes, beans and brussel sprouts this season, what with blogging and all, who can do it all? Apparently, you !
