Spring tulip wreath from an embroidery hoop

February 27, 2018 by Kim Woodward

Simple spring tulip wreath with embroidery hoop

It is going to be over 50 degrees in the Midwest today. And only in the Midwest, this means that everyone is wearing shorts and storing away any winter jackets.

It’s just how we do it. It’s a little bit of wishful thinking. But we are also tough and desperately yearning for spring. The Vitamin D deficiency is real, friends.

That means it’s also the perfect time to get some spring wreath inspiration. In addition to my spring wreath, you can also stop by a gaggle of other talented bloggers sharing their wreaths for spring. I love all the ideas. (See them all at the end of the post.)

How to make giant paper flowers

February 20, 2018 by Kim Woodward

I don’t care what that silly groundhog says … spring is coming.

I’ve been slowly adjusting our home from winter to spring – and I’m excited to be sharing a fun tutorial to make simple giant paper flowers for your spring home. These are great for this time of year, but they also make a beautiful statement all year – for nurseries, bedrooms, playrooms and PARTIES.

Simple Valentine’s Day decor

February 2, 2018 by Kim Woodward

Simple Valentines Day Decor

What’s that? February?

I’m sorry. It just turned 2018 yesterday so I’m not sure how it’s already the second month of the year.

Decorating for holidays is one of my “things.” It’s just something I do. And with kids, there’s just something so fun about changing up the house for every holiday. Henry loves it as much as I do.

So, Valentine’s Day is officially IN THE HOUSE. (Do the kids still say that?)

A Christmas card tree

December 21, 2017 by Kim Woodward

Only a few days until Christmas and I have one last tree to show you – our wall mounted tree in the stairway. This year, we used this tree to hang our Christmas cards and it’s a perfect way to keep them visible throughout the holiday season. Plus, it takes up very little space and […]

Tips to prepare for holiday entertaining

December 19, 2017 by Kim Woodward

Get your home ready for the holidays

Will you be entertaining this Christmas?

We host lunch at our home on Christmas Day, which has become one of my most favorite traditions – especially since having kids. We can open gifts at home and then welcome both sets of grandparents and other family members. It’s wonderful.

So as we approach the holidays, I’m all about preparing. Because the more I prepare ahead of time, the better everything runs, the less stressed I feel, and the more I can enjoy the holiday.

A holiday-ready kitchen

December 14, 2017 by Kim Woodward

A holiday ready kitchen | NewlyWoodwards01

If you know me, you know I believe more is more when when it comes to holiday decorating. But in the kitchen, I do a little less – because it’s a hardworking holiday space. It’s still plenty of festive, but there aren’t decorations on every available surface.

We use the kitchen constantly over the holidays – to bake, to entertain and even to hang out. That means the kitchen needs to be ready-to-go. No time to clear stuff off all the surfaces.

And it also needs to be disinfected and cleaned. That’s where PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant comes in.
