Yummy and easy slow-cooker Italian beef

February 23, 2012 by Kim Woodward

Because I know you love easy and yummy recipes as much as I do, and because I know you are all just as obsessed with the slow cooker, here’s one of our go-to favorites.

Slow cooker Italian beef sandwiches

I originally spotted this sandwich at La Buena Vida, and Meredith shared that the recipe came from Leah at Marital Bless.

This is great for any weeknight, a game day or even when having company. And it’s one of my husband’s favorites.

Slow-cooker Italian beef
from Marital Bless

3 lb. beef roast (any will do – get this on sale)
2 packets of Italian dressing mix
1 can of beer

Pour beer in the slow cooker and mix in Italian dressing packets. Submerge roast and cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 8-10 hours. Shred beef with fork and let beef soak up the au jus. Serve on a bun. I like it with shredded mozzarella and Ryan likes it with banana peppers and mustard.

Is your mouth watering? It should be, cause this is good stuff, friends.

I don’t think pregnant women should be having beer. Bahahaha. 😉 I’d probably think this was awesome if I wasn’t picky. You lost me at roast.
