I have been making my little Silhouette Portrait work hard for the money in the past few weeks, so get ready for a lot of projects in the next few weeks.
First up – some fun creations for my mom’s 60th birthday. Even though she didn’t want a party, I wanted to add a little festivity for her big day since she was hosting some close friends and family members for a weenie roast. So in addition to the signature drink and the memories book, I took on some other crafting adventures.
The first project – a 60th birthday shirt. After making myself a shirt for my 30th, Arizona Lainey wanted in on the fun.

She picked the saying and I cut the words with flocked heat transfer in gray. So simple and perfect for my momma. Just like wine, she gets better with age.

Speaking of age, I also whipped up a few signs to put up in her yard. I use black foam board from the Dollar Tree and silver Silhouette vinyl.

(shape: no good reason to act your age phrase)
And this quick birthday banner was perfect for her trellis of flowers. I used card stock for the circles and black vinyl for the words. (And I’m keeping the happy birthday portion to use for future birthdays.)

Finally, my favorite part – tattoos. I made some 60th birthday tattoos for the kids. The tattoo paper is seriously one of my favorite Silhouette products. (This isn’t a sponsored post but I do receive lots of great goodies from Silhouette for my work on their design team.)
I want to actually do a whole tutorial post on these someday, but the day is not today. I was in a rush on these and ended up screwing up the tattoos so they read backwards when they were applied. But they are still adorable and Henry loved showing off his G tattoo on his hand.
I think the birthday banner is my favorite. What about you?

Hilarious!! My dad just turned 60, but I don’t think I could convince him to wear a V-neck. A tank top though…sign him up!
My daughter is just AWESOME. I wanna be just like her when I grow up. I love you so much Kimberly. Thank you for making my day so very special! “G”
I’m clearly a little behind on my blog reading. Looks like you did your mom’s birthday right! I’m hitting 30 in January, and B’s is in February. I should probably plan something. Meh.
Love the tattoos! Looks like the coolest 60th birthday party I’ve ever seen!
LOL OMG this is awesome and funny. I can just tell this party was a blast. Love all your ideas Kim!!
