Inspired: Upstairs bathroom

February 24, 2016 by Kim Woodward

Another week, another bathroom!

This time, I’m sharing the ideas and inspiration I’m pulling together for our upstairs bathroom, which is really the main bathroom.

For this one, I’m aiming for a classic, timeless look. I really want it to be really warm and neutral. It’s nothing fancy (and everything is 100 percent on a low budget because money apparently doesn’t grow on trees).

Threshhold shower curtain | Sconces | Vanity | Hex sheet vinyl | Mirrored medicine cabinet |

And here are a few of the rooms I’ve been inspired by …

Gray-Wainscoting-toilet

Warm grey wainscoting via Maison de Pax (I was so inspired by her darker wainscoting that I want to imitate it completely. I have no shame.)

The plaster is almost finished upstairs (updates next week – possibly?), so this bathroom will be coming together before we know it!

I made it on your list?!?! Well, my bathroom did but who currrrrrss I’m on your list! *beaming*

In this age of overused gold & brass & marble everything I’m SO on board with your idea board (ha). Classic, clean, yet refreshing. No way that gorgeous flooring’s vinyl!!! I’m floored (ha).

What’s up with money not growing on trees?! That tile that’s not really tile is awesome; you can’t go wrong with hexagons!

I love your bathrooms!! AND the hex vinyl flooring! I see your link takes you to the Canadian Lowe’s website. Did you find it at your local Lowe’s store? Or did you order it from your local flooring shop? I’ve been on the hunt, but I haven’t been able to find it here in Wisconsin.

They have it at Menards for sure. (I couldn’t find it online but that’s where we are ordering.) I would assume Lowe’s has it, too, but I haven’t checked in the store.

I can’t believe the flooring is vinyl! Love it.

I bought that exact same vinyl a few weeks ago for our downstairs laundry and half bath. Haven’t installed it yet, but the sample was really nice, so I have high hopes! Love your design plan!
