Well, the house is finally clean. The boxes of fall decoration finally made it upstairs. I was starting to get excited and then my mom took it to the next level.
Do you spot it?

She made me this beautiful arrangement for fall and attached it to this fence. It was like this fence was made for me.
Do you love it? I do… I had to put it immediately on the wall. And, it goes with my rug and curtains perfectly. Like it was made for our little dining room.
And, the chipped paint and raffia…. love. Mom said she had to pick it up when she saw the color. She knew…

And, the chipped paint and raffia…. love. Mom said she had to pick it up when she saw the color. She knew…Plus – she got me this fun-as-can-be punkin. It’s called a “one-too-many”… whatever that means. I don’t think you can have one-too-many of these bad boys.
I was just tickled to death. All of my other fall decor pales in comparison. Thanks, mom. I love it.

I love your leaf vine on the curtain rod- such a creative idea.
Wow. I love that flower arrangement, and the paint on that fence is fabulous. Looks great in your dining room!
Oh, I just love fall! I just pulled ours out this week (since down here in south Texas we don’t get “fall” weather until maybe February!) but I absolutely love your fence on the wall! Looks great.
Love the pics! I’m so glad you liked your surprise. It was so fun making it for you and made it even more worth it when I read how happy it made you. You are so worth it, my little angel! I love you! Your house looks and smells just like fall!
Good eye, Jennifer. I’m happy you can tell the difference. I will post about the camera soon. I wasn’t sure if anyone really cared.
the fence is too cute! I got on of those pumpkins last year, the guy at the garden center said that they are named such because they look like bloodshot eyes … for what it’s worth.
looks to me like you got your new camera! did I miss something? what’d you get? 🙂
Emily – I’m getting the guest bedroom ready for Caroline.
Melissa – You just made my day. Such a sweetheart – Thanks for the compliment. =)
I just want to say thank you. Your blog is a real bright spot in my day and I look forward to “peeking” into your little home and following along in your “adventures” each day. My life is one hectic, jumbled free-for-all lately, and your blog is a sigh of relief at the end of one of my very long days. I subscribe to at least 36 different blogs and your blog is one of three that I ALWAYS read. It goes: All Things G&D, Pioneer Woman, and your blog – in that order because it’s alphabetical.
If that’s all I manage to read in a day, I’m okay with that. 🙂
Thank you!
Love the decor!! Super cute!!
Kim,
That fence does look like it was made for your room! The colors – perfect.
I don’t actually have fall decorations. I’m lucky if we get pumpkins carved for Halloween. I have one pumpkin candy dish, but I hate to use it, because it just makes me eat candy that I don’t need. (In fact, I think it got packed with Hershey kisses still in it from last year… now I want to get it out so I can eat chocolate… look what you’ve done! And yes, I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I’ll eat year old chocolate candy.)
I did buy a sugar pie pumpkin at the market this week. It’s sitting all by its lonely self on my kitchen counter, inspiring me for fall. I’m going to try making (my first ever) pumpkin pie from scratch.
🙂
My fall decorations are up, but more importantly my fall scented Yankee Candles are being put to use! I LOVE FALL! I love that pumpkin, I will be on the look out for one when I got to the farm soon!
Fantastic fall deocrations. Love the red picket fence and the pumkin is so cool.
Also, passing a award your way, come check out my post. Thanks, Robin
So cute! Aren’t moms the best? Speaking of moms, my mom follows your blog from mine daily. We were talking blogs over the weekend and she said (she’s an Iowan) “If I’m ever back in the Quad Cities, I’m going to visit Kim, she’s so cute.” So I’ll be sure to give you fair warning if Caroline’s heading your way so you can duck out of town that day 🙂
My decorations are up, but it’s pretty pathetic. I have two ceramic pumpkins, a pumpkin basket filled with gourds, two small bears dressed as scarecrows and that’s it.
I will have four super-cute fall placemats as soon as I get the binding done on them though.
Once Christmas gets here the house will be FULL of decorations though.
better question: Do I even own any fall decorations? Nope!
Love the fence..and the picture of your curtains gave me a great idea 🙂
So cute!! You have great taste!
