Cherry cheesecake

February 28, 2012 by Kim Woodward

Another new recipe in the house – this one is a dessert and it’s quite simple and tasty.
I always have a hard time figuring out what to make for dessert when we have company. I don’t have an arsenal of company-appropriate dessert. I don’t think my stash of Samoas the cut. Plus, I don’t want to give anyone else my Girl Scout cookies.
This was perfect when we had friends over – a simple and nice-looking cherry cheesecake, although we didn’t find it terribly cheese-cakey. Still yummy, though. I had no trouble polishing off the leftovers for breakfast.
The recipe is over at my friend Lindsay’s blog – Perfecting the Pairing. It’s also worth your time to check out the blog – she makes the most fabulous recipes and I think you’ll love trying some of her creations.
Plus, she’s just cool. And we all need a little cool in our lives. (And heaven knows you aren’t getting it here.)
So, go check out Lindsay’s Simple Cherry Cheesecake recipe at Perfecting the Pairing.
Then, make me a cheesecake and drop it off. Stat. I’m a hungry pregnant woman and I demand it.

    Kim!!
Thanks so much for posting this on your page. It was such a lovely surprise. 🙂

I am so glad you liked it! Love hearing about all of the baby updates. You continue to exhaust me with your never-ending projects. I wish I had that gene. 🙂

The plate that your cheesecake is in is adorable! It also made me very hungry, but that also might be because I haven’t had breakfast yet. I could definitely eat that for breakfast!

Cheesecakes for breakfast for the win! Also… I would never share my Girl Scout cookies either. Everyone would just need to BYOB (Bring your own box) of they wanted some.

I love demanding that blog readers make me baked goods. Somehow no one has ever followed through on it. wtf? John’s the cheesecake lover in this house so I better not let him see this post. Although I wouldn’t turn it down should say, a blog reader MAKE THIS CHEESECAKE FOR ME! Ahem, sorry.

Man. It’s just not nice to wave pictures like that in front of a pregnant lady. Need. Cheesecake. For. Breakfast. Now. 😉

Also, I’m glad you liked the ruffled shower curtain! I’m rather partial to it myself.

Nate loves cherry cheesecake. If I was a good wife I’d make this for him.

And Girl Scout cookies are not meant to be shared. You are wise.
