A Book Club party

July 30, 2013 by Kim Woodward

So, after preparing (or not), it was finally time to have my book club gals over for some food, some drinks and some fun. And, not surprisingly, we had a great time!

A friend and I started this book club 4 or 5 years ago and it’s been such a wonderful group of women.

I really wanted to have a nacho bar, so I went with it. Chips, taco meat, queso dip and all the extra toppings.

To make it go with the book club feel, I made each of “steps” a chapter. Okay, that’s totally cheesy. But, I love it. Cheesy is my jam.

And I asked the gals to label each of their dishes with a chapter.

And don’t forget the fun book chalkboard art.

And because I believe book club should involve booze, SANGRIA!

And tea and water for the preggos and nursing mommas.

I really love having people over to the house. Mostly for the nachos. And the sangria.Book club party6

And the fresh flowers.
