You-musts

March 15, 2012 by Kim Woodward

You must:

  • Bake these whole wheat hamburger buns via Chocolate and Carrots.
  • Learn how to make this $1 ruffled shower curtain at Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe.
  • Wow your house guests with these customizable egg bread bowl breakfasts from Perfecting the Pairing.
  • Drool over all the handmade details of this fabulous nursery at 5 Camels.
That is all, friends. It’s been a while since the last you-must, so I thought it was about time.

You-musts

April 8, 2011 by Kim Woodward

(An aside: I wasn’t going to post today. But, my college roommate Ali told me in no uncertain terms that a Thursday post IS NOT adequate to last through the weekend. Love her.)

You must:

  • Head to IKEA and make your own stenciled rug like the one at A Little Bite of Everything.
  • Get all your fabric scraps together to make some alphabet blocks like these at Katie Craft Night.
  • Check out these fabulous chairs that Liz at It’s Great to be Home recovered. Amazing!
  • Drool over the awesome blue sofa that Carrie at Brick City Love found on Craigslist for
  • Invite yourself over to the home of Decor and the Dog to take a bubble bath in their dream bathroom. (Seriously – can you believe that clawfoot tub exists in a real home. IN IOWA?)
  • Check out Michael’s guest room and the awesome window treatments at Inspired by Charm.
That is all. Have a great weekend, friends.

You musts

July 30, 2010 by Kim Woodward

You must:

  • Make this adorable gathered clutch for a friend (or yourself), like this one at Skip to my Lou.
  • Send a square of fabric to my friend Michael at Inspired by Charm for his first quilt. (I did.)
  • Cover your fridge in vintage cheese label magnets from Just Something I Made.
  • Make restaurant-style salsa using this recipe from Shopping Candy.
  • Dream of planting a field of sunflowers next to your house like Thy Hand Hath Provided. (Adding this to the “when I live in the county list” – along with chickens, wildflowers and a pumpkin patch. What? You don’t have a “when I live in the country” list?)
  • Drool over the pots and pans’ kitchen organization at Kevin and Amanda.
  • Imagine this quilt from Film in the Fridge in your own home.
  • Marvel over the idea of making all of your own gift sacks from newspaper (BRILLIANT) from How about Orange.
  • Bust out your bread machine to bake Garlic and Herb Bread from Amber Waves of Grain.
That is all, folks. Have a great weekend.

You-musts

May 12, 2010 by Kim Woodward

You must:

  • put beadboard on your ceiling,  and hope it looks half as good as this ceiling at House of Smiths.
  • adore this rolling outdoor cart that Jenny and her hubby made at Anything Pretty.
  • hang a chain link fence curtain rods like Beach Brights.
  • spruce up your camera strap with this tutorial at Moda.
  • drool over the headboard and footboard makeover by Britt at a penny saved.
  • positively DIE over the Jessica’s kitchen at Jessica Leigh (especially that swoon-worthy sink).
What do you think?

You-musts

March 18, 2010 by Kim Woodward

You must:

  • try these cheesy soft pretzels from Erin at Domestic Adventure. Ohmygoodnesstheyaresogoodyouwilldie. Then you will continue eating them until you have doubled your caloric intake for the day and you feel sick. But, it’s worth it. Divine.
  • drool over Carrie and Rob’s bedroom makeover (she made the headboard, and the pillowcases!) at Brick City Love. It’s just dreamy. I love that the room is far from my “usual” style, but I still adore it.
  • see one of my favorite laundry room makeovers ever by Jenny at Anything Pretty. Ever. It’s better than pictures in a magazine. And it’s real.
  • squeal out loud when you find out that someone at Craft Passion has detailed how to make YARN out of T-SHIRTS!? Wha? I will be trying to crochet something with yarn I make out of t-shirts. (And, don’t tell Ryan, but I may be using the t-shirt that I wish he would get rid of but won’t. You know, the one he wore in three consecutive high school yearbook photos. The one that I thought had finally gone missing until he mysteriously found it buried in a box in the basement. I jest, I jest. I will not destroy the t-shirt. Without permission.)
  • fawn over Emily Kate’s stair makeover at ThirtyEight20. Which she did herself (like everything else). I love them so much that I saved the picture and told Ryan we just must have stairs like these in our next home.
That is all for today. Let me know what you think of the “you-musts.” I may do this type of a post more often.
Please and thank you.
