Where in the world is….

October 19, 2010 by Kim Woodward

Mrs. NewlyWoodwards?

I’ve been a little MIA lately, but I’ll be back soon to share my adventures (and the adventures of what Mr. NewlyWoodwards has been up to, too).

I know, you are on the edge of your seat. (Insert sarcasm font.)

Wait, don’t even tell me you came to the east coast and didn’t drive 3 hours north to see me. Consider me pissed. ha.

we’ll be in DC in a week! I can’t wait. By the look of the scarf I guess I need to pack accordingly. Us Floridians don’t handle cold very well.

I was just in DC on Saturday. Maybe we crossed paths? I was the one dragging the whining 4 year old up the hill in the zoo. 😉

Where in the world is….

April 6, 2010 by Kim Woodward

Mr. NewlyWoodwards? (Anyone else singing the Carmen San Diego theme song right now?)

Pretty, right? My husband took it.

For the last couple of weeks, while I’ve been very swamped with catching up on The Office, avoiding laundry and eating out every night, Ryan’s been away galavanting in the mountains  working 6-12 hour days a week.

He doesn’t know how tough it is for me at home.

Any guesses about where he is?

(Hint: Oh __________, our home and native land. True patriot love in all thy sons command.)

    1. Canada? Or as I like to call it, Canadia, where Canadians are from.
    2. LMAO @ shannon’s bob ross comment.
    3. I eat kraft cheesy shells & cheese when Mr. FC’s out of town. Once, he was gone for 3 weeks and I almost got scurvy from lack of vitamin c.

Is it terrible that I love when my man is away so I can catch up on my tv and blogging? Only sometimes, though. There is a balance, right?

    Beautiful photo!

I am with Leigh…nothing like a cart full of wine and party pizzas while the husband is away. So he is in Canada? It looks beautiful!

As much as I love Carmon San Diego- I suck at geography. Wherever he is, it’s very pretty and I hope he gets to enjoy it a bit.

I loved Carmen Sandiego too! I have a love/hate relationship with my husband’s business travel, however. I like catching up on reading and girlie movies… but even with all the extra room to sprawl out, I don’t sleep very well. Just can’t seem to relax without him around — fortunately he travels drastically less now than he used to. Hope you are faring well all by your lonesome!

    Canada!

I had a Canadian friend in high school who showed me a Canadian TV show where the host would show how little Americans knew about Canada. One of the things he would get people to do was sing their national anthem, “Oh Canada, a great big empty land,” and BELIEVE these were the actual words.

When my husband is gone for the weekend it’s like I lose all self control over my eating habits. Corndogs? Pizza Rolls? Party Pizzas? Potato Skins? Yes please!

There is nothing like going to the grocery store for an assortment of frozen foods and wine. Classic.

hahah, Kim, I do the same thing when JEGs is away.

PJs the second I walk in the door? Check. Ice Cream for dinner? I think so. A 3 hour marathon of ‘Platinum Weddings’. Oh hell yeah.

When the hubs away, the wife shall play 😉

That song (Carmen San Diego) will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day. I used to LOVE that show! That is an awesome picture. He’s somewhere in Canada is the best I can do.

P.S. Shannon’s answer is the funniest thing I’ve read in a while!
