He’s probably getting ready to bark at a blade of grass, or bite Ryan’s feet or steal the remote. I can see it.
And I wouldn’t have gotten this photo, either. Can you even get over that color? It’s just awesome in person.
I’ve known Ashley since Middle School, so it was really special to be there for her big day.
There’s just something about friends from High School. It’s a different type of friendship.
I also got to catch up with several other awesome friends from Middle and High School. I’m not kidding when I tell you I was giddy about it. Still am. See that crazy smile below. It’s a mix of a few glasses of wine and two old friends.
That’s Ann and Allie. I wish I had all my photos scanned in so I could show you some old snapshots of us. Like when Ann and date went to senior prom with Ryan and I. Or this group photo from a sleepover at Allie’s. (I’m sure they are relieved I’m not sharing these visual memories with the Internet, however.)
It was also humbling (and crazy awesome) when I found out that these old friends read this little blog, too. It’s bizarre to realize that real people actually read NewlyWoodwards. I mean, no offense, blog buddies. I know you are probably real, too. But you can’t compete with High School friends.
Before I took this picture, I asked Ryan if it would embarrass him if I snapped a shot of the centerpiece. Bless him. He said, “Of course not.” Keeper.
So, that’s this, that and the other.
What’s going on in your life?

What a goof friend you are!! Yes that center piece is stunning! So unique
XO Lindsay
I’m real and made the blog!! I feel like I’m famous now!! <3 Allie
that gift is adorable! can’t wait to hear about it!!!!
Hey I’m real…..probably.
What a gorgeous bride! Old friendships run deep.
Love the gift you put together & your dress. But of course I’d already seen both before you posted about them…..you know, from my nightly drive-bys.
(I should probably also tell you that I love the PJ’s you & Ryan rock too.)
wow, your friend’s dress is stunning!! as is the decor! glad you were able to catch up with friends :)!
J has a Nikon D3100. I finally found the charger for it (in the camera bag, imagine that!), but it’s still throwing the color off in the dining room. I look at the room IRL and it’s deep teal, I look at the camera screen and it’s royal blue! So frustrating. Any ideas? I tried to white balance with the “shady” selection, since I’m inside (there isn’t an “interior” option), but then everything looks yellow-ey… What am I doing wrong? Help!
You are adorable! And I’m in love with that gift!
Beautiful flowers & friends! 🙂
Love the gift… can’t wait to hear about the goodies in it…
Whoa- I can’t wait to see all the details on that gift…cause I kinda want one for myself. Those feathers are amazing. I love hearing about Franco’s antics.
I literally lol’d at the ‘bark at a blade of grass’ comment. Sounds like something my dog would do haha!
Great photos. I have the Nikon D40 and have been looking into getting the D3100 as my next Nikon 🙂
What a gorgeous wedding! I love the gift basket you made – can’t wait to see what’s inside. 🙂
