Sewing dreams

May 14, 2009 by Kim Woodward

So, I still haven’t had time to really read through my new sewing machine manual. And, I’ve made a deal with myself that I’m going to do this before I start any projects.
At first, I’ve was content with thinking I could hem pants, sew buttons and mend clothing. Then, I thought that it would be fun to start quilting again and maybe make a pillow.
Now, I’ve been going crazy finding tons of things that I want to make with my new beauty. Here’s a sampling of items I’ve tagged as “I wonder if I’ll ever be able to make something like this? I hope so.”

Crayon rolls by Crafting Chicks

Quilted table runner by Moda
And don’t even get me started on Amy Butler. Be still my heart. The fact that she gives PDFs makes me love her even more. Here’s a few of my faves…

Kim you will love her patterns, they are SOOOOO easy to do and also to twist to what you exactly want, I’ve been sewing her patterns forEVER. Plus they also give you inspiration to make your own patterns for bags/etc.

Isn’t it fun to find new thing to create.

I have a manual of my own to read, it’s been sitting there since March, poor little machine hasn’t even been out of the box, I always take out my old machine since I haven’t figured out the new one yet and my mom thinks I’m crazy.
