Old-school phone

August 17, 2011 by Kim Woodward

So, my immune system decided to take some paid time off this week. Which means I have been one big ball of sick.

Achy, icky, exhausted, ridiculous sick.

The plus side: It didn’t happen on vacation.
The down side: Being sick sucks.

But to cheer me (and you) up…

This man was walking down the streets of San Francisco. With a red old school phone. Hooked to his cell phone.

HOW AWESOME IS THAT?

We are totally doing it. Ryan has begun the project. Which involves finding an old phone.

(As an aside, I’m sure this gentleman will be thrilled to know that I took a picture of him and then posted it on our blog. He’s officially reached the big time.)

G always wanted an old school phone for the house, but we didn’t have a landline… I may have to find one of these and send it to him. Too funny!

I own one of those, but mine is black! My mom gave it to me for Christmas two years ago hoping it would encourage me to answer my phone more frequently. 🙂

I just read an article about this… I think in Elle.. Gwyneth Paltrow does this- it’s a handset you can hook up to your cell! It’s supposed to decrease bad cell phone waves or something!

Bummer- sorry you’re sick. I’ve seen those phone attachements, maybe it would help with face dialing issues I have.

I have to say, it would be much easier to multitask and balance this on my shoulder rather than my cell phone. And of course, I could use the “speakerphone” function on my cell, but around a crowd, not every one appreciates that. I love the fact this guy was totally using it in public. AWESOME!!

That is hilarious! I just finished giggling hysterically. Stephen is giving me an odd look, but that’s pretty normal. He’ll probably threaten to drop me off at a looney bin in the next few minutes if I don’t stop the intermittent giggling.

Awesome old school phones aside, I really hope you get better! Drink lots of water and sleep!
