Mickey baby quilt

August 23, 2011 by Kim Woodward

This may be one of my favorites.

A simple strip quilt, made with a variety of red, white, black and grey dots and stripes.

The Mickey head just makes it, in my opinion. Turned out so darn cute.

This quilt came together really quickly, from start to finish. And I think it will be a great quilt for a baby in a Mickey nursery. Don’t you think?

What do you think?

Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. I just finished my own Disney quilt based on your design (including mickey motif). Thanks again, I enjoyed making it 🙂

I love this quilt – we are wondering where you found the Mickey hand/feet fabric? I love the whole nursery – so luv making a room instead of buying everying for it!

Absolutely perfect, Kim! I love how it fits the theme but is not over the top. And I love the modern stripes!

Love this quilt! It will look perfect in the nursery….and even more importantly the baby will get a kick staring at all that black and white. Carter loves his dark brown and white elephant drapes. They are mesmerizing! Can’t wait to see your next quilt!

So cute! I have 5 quilts to make in the next 6 months so I need to start making simple ones. This is great way to make simple look fun and special. You always find great fabric.

I love strip quilts, and this one is just fabulous. Love that the Mickey theme is there but understated. And your party from yesterday? Oh my goodness. Will you come help me throw any party in the future? K, great. Thanks!

    You did a lovely job!
    Do you use a pattern?
I REALLY need to get my sewing machine serviced so I can get to work on a quilt for our little one!
She is due in 6 weeks, but at this rate she won’t get a mommy made quilt until her 1st birthday!
