Holiday photo cards

December 10, 2009 by Kim Woodward

I got all our Christmas cards finished and sent last week. That’s such a good feeling. I actually started addressing and writing short notes in the car ride from Tennessee. Then, I finished them up at home.

I think they turned out pretty cute. I ended up ordering from Hallmark , because they had a special on Christmas cards. They have some great templates and tons of ideas for wording. I was really impressed with the selection of personalized cards as well, and the prices were comparable. When I received them, I was also impressed with the quality. We ordered 150 cards (I know, it’s ridiculous).

Here’s what we ended up with.

There are pictures of our trips to Madison , Arizona , Atlanta and Starved Rock State Park . There’s also pictures of our home, Franco and Lola, our garden and Ryan’s motorcycle . I think it’s a good assortment of what went on in our life in 2009.

Inside, I wrote a little poem as an overview:

We traveled, we gardened,
we reno-ed and painted.
We spoiled our puggies,
with a diesel motorcycle we were acquainted.
’09 was amazing
and well-wishes we send.
Merry Christmas to all
and enjoy 2010!
Do you send Christmas cards this year? Tell me about them.

I love sending Christmas cards. I was so impressed with mine this year (modest I know), I just need to post about them. Your little poem is great.

Your cards are fabulous and that poem is adorable!! Great job!!

I take pictures of the boys every year and make our cards through Shutterfly. They have gorgeous cards as well. I never knew Hallmark did them too.

Lovely card. We usually do the 4×8 cards, and will again this year, but I think next year we’ll do a folded card. I like them so much more!

Love the collage picture card, I didn’t even know that Hallmark did customizable cards, that’s good to know.

Ryan and I sent holiday cards to soldiers & veterans through Red Cross, Holiday Mail for Heroes, and then some to family and friends! Nothing as cute as your thought 🙂

So cute! I love them! This was our first year sending them out, and now I’m on a roll. I can’t wait to think up some creative ideas for next year’s card!

These cards are adorable! Check out Vista Print for next year. We purchase 200 photo cards for 22 bucks. We use the same company for monogrammed note cards, thank you cards, etc. It’s wonderful!! I blogged about it here.

We pick up about 80 cards, I do all the writting, my husband is in charge of buying the cards and stamps! LOL

I usually write a short message for a “Happy & Healthy New Year” in the card, or a short personalized message if something big has happen in the receiver’s lives.

Kim, These look fantastic and the poem is so creative! Look at you all on top of things and having sent your cards already. I feel so behind, I only have 60 this year and I’ll be lucky to mail them next week. Oh well, at least I’ve started them.

We got your card!!! Actually we got it last week. It’s adorable.

We’re also sending out a sill amount of cards. There 125 on the list right now, I think. I designed it in photoshop and had it printed from Vistaprint but then there are a couple other elements coming from other vendors. They’re pretty fantastic {if I do say so myself} and I can’t wait to blog about them. Hopefully they’ll be mailed late next week.

I haven’t done any this year. I am kind of wondering if I could get away with a “Happy New Year/Here’s The Baby!” card….lol.

Those are adorable cards! I love all of the pictures on the front! And your poem is super-cute.

I’ve been designing ours in photoshop and ordering them from an online printer. They’re supposed to arrive by tomorrow, but it’s blizzarding here! Keep your fingers crossed! 🙂

What a unique and gorgeous card! I made my cards this year and I’m sending a picture that my friend Lyndsey took of us. I’m addressing them tonight and mailing them out tomorrow. I can’t wait.

I really liked your card when I received it. I made my own cards this year. They are in my blog, but you will be getting one in the mail, which I hope to get them out today.

    I think I did 75 this year
