Giveaway: 25 free Shutterfly Christmas Cards

October 24, 2011 by Kim Woodward

Christmas is coming, folks. Can you believe it?

(Don’t hate me for bringing it up.)

And with the approach of the holiday season, I was thrilled to get an email from Shutterfly offering us free Christmas cards as part of their holiday promotion. (And, better yet –  25 free cards for three NewlyWoodwards readers, too.)

I was lucky enough to receive free holiday cards from Shutterfly last year and was thrilled with the quality and design choices. I’m excited to put one together again this year. Here’s a reminder of the NewlyWoodwards’ card in 2010.

Definitely going with photo Christmas cards again in 2011.

I highly recommend Shutterfly for your cards. I’ve also used Shutterfly for calendars and photo books. I can safely say that they do a great job with all your photo memories.

But, now – onto what you all really care about. For one chance of three to win 25 free greeting cards from Shutterfly.

For a chance to win:
– Leave a comment on this post telling me about your Christmas card philosophy and why you would like 25 free cards. (Do you send a few? A hundred? Will this be your first year?)

You do not have to have a blog in order to win. Just leave me your email address so I can get ahold of you. It’s as simple as that. Let’s get this holiday season underway. With help from Shutterfly. (Thanks, Shutterfly!)

Winners will be chosen on Thursday evening and announced on Friday morning!

Good luck!

I managed to send out “Happy New Year” cards the year that we got married and bought a house but totally skipped last year. This would be a great way to get back into the habit of sending a card to all of our family and friends!

Yes, we really do like you! Would love to gift my daughter and son-in-law with the shutterfly cards so they could bless at least 25 family and friends with pictures of our first grandson! thanks!

We usually send about 100 cards. Some years are better than others with the pictures. Fingers crossed this year will be a good one.

I would like to win these because I feel that everyone should have baby Gabe’s face on their fridge. I send as many that I can get for free 🙂

I send about 50-65 cards out for christmas every year. I love it! I love getting them back. It is one of my favorite parts of the holiday.

I would love 25 to help break up the cost of purchasing all these cards and then stamps on top of them!

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

We send about 75 cards each year to our friends and family. I always include a photo of us from the year and a letter about what we’ve been up to for the past 12 months.

I love Christmas Cards! Last year, I made them all by hand, meaning they turned out so sweet/awesome looking but I turned into an evil Scrooge during the (long and tiring) process! This year, I’d love to take the much easier route with Shutterfly:)

  12. Meredith says

    October 25, 2011 at 3:01 PM

We’ve sent out cards every year except the Christmas before Lizzy was born. We usually send out an annoying number–just enough to have to order a second batch, but with a ton left over, lol!

  13. Jenny @ Anything Pretty says

    October 25, 2011 at 3:13 AM

I love Shutterfly and used them for our birth announcements. We normally send close to 100…except for last year which was a christmas card total fail.

Thanks for the chance to win! We’ve sent out photo cards since our first was born three years ago and now it’s tradition! We can’t afford to send out as many cards since we started doing photos, so we send only to close friends and family- about 20/25 photo cards!

  15. Sugarr2518 says

    October 25, 2011 at 1:10 AM

First of all, I love Shutterfly, too!!! I put a lot of my wedding photos on there to print and to make digital photo books and they turned out great:) We’ve sent out Christmas cards before, but this will be our first Christmas as husband and wife sending them out! It would be perfect to out through Shutterfly since we have our pictures downloaded to it. We usually send out around 50 or so. Anything would help:) Thanks for this post!

Just in time! I was just perusing the internet today for some photo greeting cards. This will be our first year sending them. We are doing it because we are getting 5 year (dating) anniversary pictures done and want to share them with everyone without having to buy a huge package. These would come in so handy! Thank you for the awesome giveaway! 🙂

This is my second year expanding our Christmas cards to my husband’s side of the family too, so for frugality reasons I’d LOVE to have 50 free cards! I think I will send about 50 total (I believe I did that last year). I just love Christmas cards!

Yay! We’ve sent out Christmas cards here and there, mostly to people that we got cards from and felt bad not returning the gesture. I would love to win this giveaway because we just moved into our new grown-up place so we should be grown-up too and send out cards…except that our Christmas budget is $0 this year.

I heart Shutterfly! I just got my first photobook and I love it! I send about 40 Christmas cards each year to both my and my husband’s families. We have a unique situation because my husband is not Christian, so his family doesn’t celebrate Christmas, so I like to go with a card that is general “holiday cheer” or “peace on earth” rather than a specific message, so it can appeal to all recipients. Thanks for the giveaway!

  32. Stacy says

    October 24, 2011 at 2:58 PM

I’ve sent Christmas cards for several years now. Up until getting married last November, I always did regular greeting cards – but now we do photo cards. Our golden pup, Sadie, will likely be the covergirl this year 🙂

We send cards every year, but this year is different…we need photo cards to show off our adorable son! He’s pretty darn cute and I’m not just saying that because I carried him in my belly for 9 months!

    October 24, 2011 at 12:48 PM

Fantastic giveaway! We usually send out about 35-40, but this year we’ll be sending out one to all of our wedding guests so the number will go up to about 80. 25 extra cards would be perfect!

  37. *claire* says

    October 24, 2011 at 5:47 PM

    yay!

i really do love shutterfly and use them for most of my photo stuff. however, this year i decided not to do holiday cards since it’s an expense that isn’t necessary – BUT if they were free, then that would be another story! 🙂

  38. Denise in PA says

    October 24, 2011 at 5:42 PM

I’m embarrased to say I did not sent out cards last year. I still feel bad. But, once I started doing photo cards a number of years ago, I don’t feel right not doing a photo card and I had no photo last year. Not a good excuse I know. So, I definitely could use the 25 cards! I probably send 30-50 cards.

What a neat giveaway! I’d love to do cards this year that feature my furbabies, Jeb & Scarlett. I didn’t buy Christmas cards on clearance last year (I do every year, what was I thinking?) and don’t have any ready to send. This would be great!

This will be our first year sending Christmas cards. Last year, I sent out a last minute email to family with pictures of Joseph dressed as Santa. It was adorable, but I was planning to do something a little more tangible this year. This would be perfect! Thanks for the chance to win!

We have been sending photo cards for a few years now. I LOVE THEM. And I love to get them. It’s fun to see what pictures people use and how a family changes from year to year. I usually send out between 50 and 75.

Ack, I can’t believe I need to start thinking about this!! We go in spurts…some years we send, some years we don’t. But this year, it’s a requirement! We just bought our first house, so we need to let everyone know our new address. And Christmas cards would be the perfect forum!

In the last year, we bought a house, had a tree fall on it which required lots of remodeling (Mother Nature took care of the demo part) and got married, so we have lots to share! Since this will be our first Christmas as a family at our new permanent address, it would be great to send photo cards! Thanks for the opportunity! 🙂

How fun! We have a lot of family so we have to send out about 75 each year. We incorporate a family photo with our dog either slipped in each card or as part of the card because around here the photos are what everyone hangs up and keeps.

  50. Susan says

    October 24, 2011 at 2:58 PM

Great giveaway! We always send some kind of Christmas card with photos of us and our adorable Westie. It would be great to give shutterfly a shot!

  51. era416 says

    October 24, 2011 at 2:43 PM

In lieu of Christmas cards this year, my husband and I decided to donate the money we would normally spend on the Shutterfly cards and postage to Angel Tree. This gives 10 children with incarcerated parents the chance to receive a Christmas gift from their parents and know that they are loved. If we won the giveaway, we would get the best of both worlds: our Angel Tree donation would be made and our friends and family would still receive our annual holiday greeting. Thanks for the chance to win, Kim!

We send photo cards every year. Around 75, I think. Always featuring the furbabies, too, because they’re cuter then we are. Maybe if I won the giveaway I wouldn’t wait until Dec 5th to start taking pictures for the card! Maybe….

Kim, I would LOVE to get these 25 free cards! As my boyfriend and I just moved in together this summer, this will be our first time sending out cards together! And, even more exciting, we are picking up our new puppy on Wednesday and would love to be able to use Shutterfly to send out picture cards that include our new addition! We can’t wait to send out holiday cards to everyone on our list! 🙂
