Festive kitchen decor for the holidays

December 12, 2016 by Kim Woodward

Get more holiday inspiration straight into your inbox. As a thank you, I’ll even send you a HOLIDAY SHOPPING GUIDE with my very favorite (unexpected) spots to pick up unique holiday decor.

Who’s spending a lot of time in the kitchen with the holidays only a few weeks away?

(Raising my hand.)

It’s COOKIE WEEK in our neck of the woods. I capitalized that because it’s a big deal. I have purchased enough butter to melt and fill a small swimming pool.

I’m not complaining. Because I love butter.

Plus, this is my COOKIE WEEK HEADQUARTERS.

Friends – don’t overlook the kitchen when you are decorating.

Because I know you spend time in the kitchen. I know your guests gather there, too. (Because, duh, food.)

Throw up some bows on the cabinets. Display your Christmas dishes. Hang an advent.

Or if you are like me – hang a giant metal bow and some christmas lights on the range hood. It’s like a gift that keeps on giving.

Our mug rack also got a festive holiday upgrade. With Fiesta lights mugs, ornaments, and red truck string art.

Even Santa showed up for COOKIE WEEK. (“Santa! I know him!”)

A few other peeks around the kitchen …

Well … enough of the kitchen. Cookie-making starts today.

Wish us luck.

And Santa, if you can hear me, please send over an elf who can clean up after the baking explosion.

Do you like it? Put a pin on it.

Lots of festive ideas to decorate your kitchen over the holidays.

So festive! Who wouldn’t want to bake (and taste) in that gorgeous space. Enjoy your first Christmas in your new house.

Oh your first Christmas in the new house! I love the old fashioned light bulb ornaments.

I love your Holiday kitchen! Where did you get the Christmas light cups (dishes)?

They are from Younkers – they come out every holiday and you can buy online. I linked them above.
