Dear Chicago Bears:

September 1, 2010 by Kim Woodward

It’d be great if you could like, I don’t know, win? Just once?

Or at least pretend like you care. Because my husband nearly had a coronary at the pre-season game last weekend against Arizona. Plus, we had to brave terrible Chicago traffic (Ryan’s own version of hell) to even get to the game. Give us a break.

The super cute kids in front of us actually played video games instead of being put through the pain of seeing you play. Do you catch the irony of that? They came to a PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL GAME and instead chose to play Donkey Kong (or whatever it is kids play these days).

Don’t get us wrong – we love you. Especially you, Robbie Gould. We just want you to get to winning. Mmmmkay?

XOXO –

This is where I will refrain from making a Jay Cutler comment.

    Refraining. Really refraining.

    You guys are so cute.

LOL. That look on Ryan’s face (the 2nd pic) is priceless… at least what I can see of it. It really sucks when you put so much effort into going to see your team and then they put you through torture!

Love the pics… I’m sure the parents of those children are proud… all that money spent on tickets for them to park their behinds in a seat to play videogames. Wouldn’t it have been cheaper out in the car?! 😉

Aren’t the bears historically bad? Maybe it’s time to pick a new team….just sayn’

When I saw the MN Timberwolves in action last season (they exceed the Bears in suckiness), I watched a youngster the row ahead of me read an entire novel. Clearly it was also a way to ease the pain.

The Bears can feel free to beat the Vikings and Brett Favre.

Very Very Cute! I love that YOU and the hubs are still true fans even through the pain 😛

I feel your pain. I’m a Lions fan, which is quite possibly more painful. Bets on which team will be worse?

    Dear Bears,

Of course you should win. Just not against the Packers! (oooooh snap!)

Da Bears. Please win for Ryan and Kim. The last photo is SO funny….I can spot at least two men with their fingers on their temples….and everyone but the two of you is FROWNING! (and to be honest, Ryan looks like he’s barely above a frown. So really it’s just you Kim.) The Bears are going to need to start hiring counselors to sit with the fans. LOL
