Our family holiday traditions

December 19, 2010 by Kim Woodward

Everyone has traditions for the Holidays. I’ve shared our Christmas traditions over the last few years. Most are the same.

This year, I’ll do it in pictorial form:

1. Ryan’s ornament to me last year. They are our family in nuts and bolts. We exchange ornaments each Christmas.
2. Our Christmas Memories book captures all of our experiences over the season. We leave it out on the end table through the season.
3. This is our honeymoon ornament. We try to pick up an ornament when we visit somewhere new.
4. We spend Christmas Eve at my grandpa’s house. The cousins do a gift exchange. This is all of us last year with our gifts.
5. We have lots of family hugs.
6. We spend Christmas with Ryan’s family. Last year, we played games together after gifts.
7. Christmas gifts are delivered by the Christmas Wizard. (This picture of my brother-in-law makes me laugh out loud, so I had to include it.)
8. Lola and Franco get lots of love.
9. We host brunch on Christmas morning for our families. This year will be our third year doing this.

J and I exchange ornaments too! And love to pick them up wherever we travel. We also have a gazillion pug ornaments. Maybe a pug themed tree next year? ;^)

    Much love!

I am sorry I wasn’t organized enough to play along this week (truth be told we just don’t have many traditions and I need to come up with some!).

Thank you so much for hosting the par-tay again this year; it was super fun and definitely kept me motivated!

I’m with FC – We’d love to hear an update on PapaBear. Hoping that all is well 🙂

Your traditions are so great – I’d love to host a brunch with my family.

OH! And thank you for hosting again. It was definitely a lot of fun and actually helped me out. I almost didn’t get this week’s done but I squeezed it in. Ok, I’m gonna go start planning next year’s projects. Ha.

I’m coming to brunch. Can I come to brunch? I’m definitely coming to brunch. THat dining room looks incredible and that OJ looks pretty darn delicious right now. And what’s this Christmas memories book? I need to google that. I love memories and Christmas so it seems I would love this book. And family hugs! Love em!

can I have your life? Wait, is that creepy? Maybe just for a couple weeks? You really do it up…I need more people like that around me. I love do-it-uppers.

We always celebrate Christmas eve with my family, open presents, listen to music and just hang out all night eating xmas cookies and Baileys. It’s my favorite night of the year!
