Cheap, cheap, drapes, drapes

March 22, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I’ve been talking about putting panels in our office/craft room since December. I finally did it. And, I think I love it. And, did I mention all four panels and the rods cost under $25? Not bad, huh? All curtains are made from one large drop cloth. I’m just one of many who have discovered […]

Funky quilted table runner

March 16, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I finished quilting and binding the table runner previewed here. In the end, I like it. It’s been a while since I’ve quilted, so this was probably a good way to ease back into it. I had some trouble with the binding, but it looks bright and cheery in the end. What’s your current project?

Yet another bag

March 15, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I just cannot stop myself. I made another bag. This one. I love. I found a great old seed/feed sack at the flea market for $3. It was pretty big bag with few stains and it was soft from years of use. So, it came home with me. I wanted to repurpose it. Because I love […]

It’s hip to be square

March 8, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I finished my scarf/neck warmer on Saturday. Of course, it’s been 40 and 50 degrees this week, which makes the scarf unnecessary. But, I’m not complaining. We love this balmy weather and the fact that the snow has finally left the building. And, the neck warmer could be a nice treat for next winter (although […]

It’s a wrap – reusable sandwich wraps by Betz White

March 4, 2010 by Kim Woodward

Another project I made from Sewing Green by Betz White (in addition to yesterday’s lunch sack) was a reusable sandwich wrap. While I own the book (and you should, too), I also found that this pattern is posted online by the author. It’s on CraftStylish. Photo from CraftStylish You might remember that I made Ryan some […]

Multi-color baggin’ it

March 3, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I’ve been wanting to make a fun lunch bag for a while, but have just gotten around to it. And, I have to say, it was worth the wait. Here’s my newest sewing project – a lunch bag. I even took the picture directly upon arrival home from work, on the first day I took […]
