Well, the bed in the nursery is nearly complete. Of course, the project took much longer than expected, but that’s pretty much par for the course at this point.
You may remember, Ryan built the bed frame in March.
Then, I upholstered it in April.
So, the only thing left to do was get the bed legs painted and find some bedding. First, let’s talk about how interesting an experience it was for a 7 1/2 month pregnant woman to be down on her side trying to paint those legs. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t pretty at all.
I ended up ordering the Seacliff quilted bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. I think the solid navy works well with all the patterns. Now, I have a few more pillows to make with some fabric I picked up. (Sigh.) I guess the bed isn’t quite done yet. Always a process.
I also had to share the adorable boppy cover that my friend Stephanie made for me. The boppy was handed down to me from a coworker and Stephanie made a new cover that matches the nursery. I’m kind of in love with it.

This nursery is adorable and I love the color scheme! Great job!
7 and a half months!?! Wow! Time is flying! I am definitely picturing you laying on the floor painting 🙂
The bed looks totally awesome. I can’t wait for you to enjoy this space with Baby Woodward!
I love it! What a nice little space to relax with your little guy in his room.
I love it! And what a great extra bed it will be for guests.
I think it’s quite peaceful. I love it, Kim!
You either need to teach Ryan to paint or the pugs. Each probably equally as hard. ;P
The nursery is turning out perfect! Now nap on that bed while you can.
i love it!!! no pics of the painting process!? ;). I’m pretty sure me laying on my side would not be pretty, never mind someone 7.5 months preggers haha.
It looks FABULOUS!! 🙂
I love all the different navy & white pattern. You’ve combined them beautifully!
I totally know what you mean about any projects that involve the floor. I keep being annoyed at the dustbunnies/random spots on our floors… and then I decide it’s not worth actually getting down there to clean them up. That’s what husbands are for, right? 😉
It looks great! Love all the patterns and the white and navy combo.
It looks so cute! And I can attest to how comfortable the bed is (i.e. very)!
Painting the legs was well worth it. It looks fantastic and I love the bedding!
The bed looks awesome! Great call on the solid navy bedding!
The quilt is perfect – I love this bed! And I’m impressed with you for painting the legs, I totally would have pawned that off on B (“But, if I lie down I might not get back up!” I’m a handful).
looks great!

What? No action shots of you painting the bed legs? The bed looks great!
LOVE it!! so nice to have that extra bed space. and all of the colors coordinate so nicely.
haha you should have had ryan take some pics of the painting – i would have liked to see that 😉
I LOVE how it’s all coming together! You really have such a great eye for design–I love that it’s a masculine yet age-appropriate room. Personally, I’m not a fan of the really frou-frou baby-looking nurseries (sage-y greens, baby blues, etc). I guess I feel like even a baby boy’s room should still be manly. And I hope you don’t mind if I pretty much carbon-copy this nursery for Forrest’s room in our new house if and when we ever find one 😉
Also, THANK GOD YOU MOVED THE BED AWAY FROM THE WINDOW YOU AWFUL THOUGHTLESS MONSTER. I WAS READY TO CALL CPS ON YOU.
(Joking, joking.)
You are AH-MAZING!!! I seriously love that nursery. Is there room for two little men? ‘Cause I might just move my newbie in there too. 🙂
Looks great! Um, I am uber jealous of your sewing skills Miss!
I love it all Kim!
It looks great Kim! We didn’t have a single bed in the nursery until the toddler bed stage, but it is so nice to have now, and I wish we had of had one in there from the beginning! 🙂
Looks good! Hopefully you won’t sleep there too much, but if you do — you’re all set 🙂
I think I love it!! I can only imagine the effort involved, but the white legs were worth it. Totally worth it. You are checking things off the list like crazy! Love the boppy cover, too.
The bed looks great! I am sure you are getting super excited. I am impressed with your painting skills while pregnant!
Great choice with the bedding! I keep thinking I’m going to make a coordinating Boppy cover – the one I was handed down isn’t really me, but I need to get on it!
Kim, it looks fantastic! You’ll love that boppy pillow! It’s a lifesaver!
