It’s nearly Easter, and I just barely got my act together to put up and share my Easter decorations.
What the wha?
How could you have lived without seeing my holiday decor? You couldn’t have. That’s the answer.
I had an idea for a few Easter banners for the house and I wanted to bring some eggs into the mix. Easter eggs. So I started cutting paper Easter eggs on my Silhouette.
I got a start on them last week, and then my blog buddy Cindy (The Flipping Couple) came into town to visit Michelle (Decor and the Dog) and I. I knew that these would be a fun craft to work on while drinking sangria and eating food cooked by Michelle and Nate. (Mostly Nate. Although Michelle makes a mean donut.)
But before we could get to crafts, we needed to do the more important things – eating and shopping.

I love these girls so much. We had such a great time and laughed pretty much all weekend. In case you don’t follow me on Instagram (why not?), here’s some snapshots from our weekend of fun.

Anyhoo, once shopping and eating was done, I put my craft slaves friends to work. You should all totally get craft slaves friends like mine. After some cutting and pasting, we had some super cute Easter egg banners. Here’s my banner on the mantel. Good thing I have exactly 7 days to enjoy our hard work.
I love how it turned out.
They are made from scrapbook paper and Kraft paper. I strung them with twine.

I had a few extra eggs that I strung onto the fence.
Then, for good measure, I added another quick banner to the dining room hutch.

So cute! I’m kinda super jealous of you girls for getting to hang and shop and craft (and eat!) like that. Sounds like SO much fun. You know what I did for easter decorating this year? Precisely nothing. Not one thing.
Hey dear! I loved following your girls’ weekend! You ladies look like so much fun! Invite me next time, mmkay? 😉
I love how you say “I whipped up another cute banner for the dining room” like it was just easy peasy. That would take me all day to make!! 🙂
Adorable! What a blessing to have crafty friends!
Super cute! I was going to decorate for Easter, but it just isn’t happening this year! Looks like you ladies had a fabulous weekend, and I could really go for one of those doughnuts right now!
Super cute! The egg banner is adorable and I love the blue glass centerpiece with the eggs! Well done.
The banners are awesome. Love the craft paper look. I didn’t get far on Easter decorations this year either.
i didn’t even do any easter decorations this year…. it’s been cold and snowing and i am not feeling it! yours are cute and you are clearly way ahead of at least me. 😉 and i want to come on those friends weekends!!!!!!
LOVE it! Your decor style is awesome! Please come help decorate my house? 🙂
Same here Amanda…for some reason I can’t see any of your images at work. Wahhhhhhhhh! I’m sure everything is super cute though…and I know you had a blast this weekend because I stalk…errrr…follow you on Instagram. 😉
Love! And my whole day has been saddened… my work computer blocks all of your images. Darn those IT people… darn them.
Pictures are a go!! Yay! Thanks 🙂
I think I have lice.
Love your banner. My eggs are still just eggs. Maybe I’ll give them to the nieces and nephew. A peace offering after my dog humps them.
Hahahahaha! Oh Ike.
I love the banner!! And all the pics make me want to hop in my car and come back.
