Adjusted tablescape

June 16, 2009 by Kim Woodward

I think that Freckles Chick and I may have been separated at birth. Sure, she is much more stylish, chic and funny than I. But, we did both have houseplants on our mind recently. And I’ll take any similarities I can get, folks. While she was stylishly introducing the fabulous zen of succulents in her house, I was adjusting our own plant display to freshen it up.

I loved the succulents on the table, but I was ready for a little change. I still liked the idea of plants, but decided to change it up. I found a few funky plants at Ikea. Plus, they had cute little white pots that were too good to pass up (only $.99 folks… they were practically paying me to take them). So, I just flipped the tablerunner to “run” the other way and changed it up. It really freshened it up, in my very humble opinion.

It includes an aloe vera plant (which I’ve been looking for forever),

along with a snake plant
and a succulent that I transplanted into a larger bowl (actually a salsa bowl that I repurposed).
I moved the succulents into the office, and I’ll show you that soon. Hang onto your succulents, folks.
What do you think?

Love those IKEA pots, I picked a few up for myself when I was there a couple weeks ago. Your succulents look fab.

I love those bowls! I’ve seen them at Ikea, but never purchased. Don’t know why? There only 99 cents!? Must plan another trip to Ikea soon. Love the plants!

Thx for the link love, K! Luh-OVE the re-design. The aloe adds lovely heighth and the others add such great texture. We have an aloe plant too (in our MBR)!

We are SO destined to be together. Wait, pretend I said that in a nonchalant way and not the raspy, creepy, breathy smoker’s voice I imagined in my head.

Crap. I’ve said too much. =]
