A shabby chic pennant quilt

August 23, 2013 by Kim Woodward

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve been out of town this week. And right now I’m on a train enroute to visit a bloggy friend for the weekend. Seriously – I’m living the life. INTERNET ON THE TRAIN.

So, until I have more details about my trip, I wanted to share the most-recent quilt we finished.

Michelle and I have four custom quilts on the docket, and the first one was shipped last week. We work on these together and make them all by-hand. It’s really fun to quilt with a friend.Pennant quilt Sew Midwestern1

I really don’t think there is anything cuter than a pennant quilt. It’s very baby-friendly, but not overly themed. And the mix of colors makes it feel very shabby chic.Pennant quilt Sew Midwestern2

We were asked to use similar fabrics from the listing photo, so we went with that. I think it turned out excellent.Pennant quilt Sew Midwestern3

The pennant quilts wash up and have a little fraying along the edges, which add to the charm.

I hope the new momma and baby love it!

Happy Friday!
