Here’s a Monday morning PSA: Only a few weeks until Valentine’s Day, my friends.
At the Woodwards, this means we’re kicking it into high crafting gear. Love is in the air, my friends. And since I can’t find my box with Valentine’s Day decorations (the shame), I’m just making everything.
First up – this simple heart sign. I picked up the sign at the Target Dollar Spot a few weeks ago.
Henry insisted on painting it for me (such a gentleman). We mixed two colors to make a paler coral-pink. (It’s a custom mix we created.) He had a great time getting it all covered in pink. There was a mandatory bath after this project.
Once the paint was dry, I created the simple design in Silhouette Design Studio. It’s perfect because Henry and I go back and forth saying, “I love YOU more.”
After cutting with gold vinyl, I used transfer paper to adhere it to the heart. I think it turned out perfectly sweet.
If you want to make your own sign, I’m sharing the design as a free download. Just open in Silhouette Design Studio and cut on the vinyl of your choice. This would also make an adorable Valentine’s Day card or even a shirt (just make sure to flip the design if you are using heat transfer).

Here are the supplies I used for this project:
- Unfinished heart sign (via Target Dollar Spot)
- Custom mixed paint (mix of Behr MARQUEE Coralette and Bowstring – this paint was provided to me by Behr for a previous project and I can never resist digging into my stash for crafts)
- Silhouette Portrait
- Silhouette blade
- Gold glossy vinyl
- Silhouette transfer paper

adorable! i think on the other side you could have something as well like “than i did yesterday when you pissed me off.” that would work well in my house. 😉
