At long last, the houndstooth quilt for our baby boy is completed. Can I get a “Hallelujah?”
I’m pretty much in love with it. And quite happy it’s completed. It ended up being quite a labor of love for me. (If you are interested, the pattern is available for purchase from V and Co.)
While certainly far from perfect, with plenty of issues, I think it’s lovely and perfect for our little boy.
The top is made from Kona solids in white and navy. The backing and binding are navy dots.
I tried long-arm quilting again with an allover pattern. This is my first time with hand binding, and while it was more time-consuming, I definitely prefer the end result.

It’s everything I thought it would be. And I thought it would be spectacular. And I also thought youd be making two of them. Ahem, one for H and one for G? You know it would look fantastic in that British gentleman’s room. But for reals, I can’t believe you’re still pumping things out, I think I set up camp on the couch by this point and made John bring me ice creams. You should follow my lead.
