I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
Holidays with kids are awesome. Everyone should have a kid. For holidays alone.
This year, I decided to go “simple” with Henry as The Train Man. Why? Because, duh, he’s obsessed with trains. OB-SESSED. That meant that I already had a few train overalls and hats, and I knew he’d wear the costume. Plus, it was something he would wear again and again.
Also, it was easy.
Also, we read the book Train Man about 42 times every day. I have it memorized.
This was our first year trick-or-treating and even though it was insanely cold and windy, it was magical. Okay, mostly magical.
The magical part? When my little train man said “trick or treat” and “thank you” over and over again.
And I can’t forget when we went to a party the next night and he picked up the candy bowl and just made his way around the whole party giving people candy and saying “trick or treat.”
I mean, I could have just died because my heart nearly exploded.
But let’s talk full disclosure here. Here’s the non-magical, real life part.
Real Life. Not made for Pinterest.
Am I right?
