Little Franco, the demonic black pug, turned three on Saturday. (It’s no coincidence that he was born on Halloween.) This meant that he and Lola got extra-spoiled.
Both get equally spoiled on Franco’s birthday because we are horrible parents and forgot Lola’s birthday entirely. Isn’t that awful? So, Halloween has been deemed the puggies’ birthdays. Both of them.
So there.
They both got new hoodies and doggie cupcakes.
And, the cupcake frosting tasted like peanut butter. Not that I ate it when I got some on my finger. It’s just what I heard. From the cupcake lady. Hypothetically. I would never eat part of my dogs’ treats.
Moving on.
The race was on…
Franco never took his eyes off the cupcake. He was incredibly focused.
Then Franco thought to himself, “Hmmm…. maybe if I lick the air, I will get some more tasty goodness.” No such luck.
“So Franco, how does it feel to be three?”

your dogs are adoreable!!!
That pic of Lola holding her cupcake hostage made me LOL. Blakely does the same thing when we give her stuff like that. She has to protect it.. I don’t know why. I don’t know that we’ve ever taken anything away from her in her life haha.
Great post! 🙂
LMAO!
Franco looks like he went into a cupcake induced trance. Lola looks like she’ll never forgive you guys for forgetting her B-day. THIS is why I *heart* pooches more than some of my friends & family members.
::whips head around:: Wait, who said that?
so cute!!!
Hi Kim! Let me tell you, I almost FAINTED when you commented that you were also in the QCA. You’re the first of my local readers to “come out” … the rest remain anonymous, even though I’m DYING to know who they are! I would love to talk to people that I might actually have the chance to meet sometime!
Franco and Lola are adorable. Curtis and I were cracking up at the picture of Lola looking so menacingly out of the corner of her eye like someone’s gonna steal her cupcake. Fierce!
You officially have the cutest fur-babies in the entire universe! I love pugs! I had my pug for 15 years, her name was Pugley (real original right?).
Adorable photo’s – Sooooooo Cute. Love the sweaters too!
I want a pug so bad-I just love them!
aww happy birthday pugs! my sister’s golden retriever’s 2nd bday was on nov 3 – she made him wear a birthday hat and gave him doggie cheez whiz and a big bone – though i think my niece wanted dibs on that bone!! hah
Kim, you are seriously an awesome doggie mom. Seriously!
Lola and Franco are so cute. And it looks like they loved their treats What spoiled (lucky) dogs.

Love it! We always forget to celebrate our dog’s birthday, but I always remember the cat’s (probably because I put it in my calendar).
I don’t worry about it though. The dog gets table food every few weeks, so it’s like a continual celebration for him.
OMG….why don’t you just MAKE MY DAY! These pics are ADORABLE! Love the little shirts in pink and lime green! Did I see a Tommy logo on them? Or was it Prada? Too funny Kimmy Ann! LOL I !miss my babies
Happy Birthday pups!!! That is quite a funny picture of Lola, she really does look a bit distraught, LOL! I can’t wait to have a puppy b-day party!!
omg poor Lola. Look at that face. So sad. Btw, I love talking to pets like they are the funny, witty humans I like to think they really are.
And wowie are those some snazzy sweaters. hahaha dogs in clothes make my day.
Very cute dog pictures. I have a scrapbook filled entirely with photos of my furkids.

You always make me laugh with your pugs! I love that you celebrate bdays…..
They are so cute. Happy Birthday to them.
Don’t worry, I won’t report you. 🙂
What sweethearts!
I love shameless dog photos! 🙂
Lol, Lola’s expressions are so funny. And yes, I can totally see her being paranoid about losing birthday treats when you did, in fact, forget all about her. 🙂
Oh man they are adorable!!! And now I feel like a bad doggie Mommy as we don’t do the birthday thing anymore with the boys. =( They used to get a trip to the Happy Dog Bakery but that’s been many birthdays ago.
