Once upon a time there was a girl named Kim. (That’s me.) She started a blog. (That’s the blog you are reading here.) This blog led to her to meet another blogger named Michelle. (That’s her.)
They became very good friends. And life was good.
And then one day, they were discussing their plans for world domination. (Common topic for Kim and Michelle.) And Kim said to Michelle – or was it Michelle said to Kim? Anyhow, one of the two said: “We should make a bunch of stuff and sell it.”
And that’s basically how our new Etsy store – Sew Midwestern – came to be.
Because neither Michelle nor I would actually take the plunge and do this on our own, a shared Etsy shop was just the ticket.
Basically – we plan to sell handmade items that we love ourselves. Items that would make great gifts for others (or for yourself).
We’ve been working on ideas and products between jobs and family obligations and other stuff for a few months. We’ve had several sewing days and “strategy lunches.” And we have more things on their way in the coming weeks and months.
Here’s a sampling of what’s available in the shop right now.
