Pretty white windows.
The window trim is most noticeable in the dining room. Doesn’t the dining room look great?
I really don’t want to paint all those windows. I’m not Duracell-like.
In other news… It’s nearly time for a bubble bath.
(You can ignore the bucket in the tub. A figment of your imagination.)
This bathroom is the thing that dreams are made of. At least my dreams. Don’t you love it when things actually come together the way you hope?
I’ve blocked out the time when I dumped a gallon of white semi-gloss trim paint INSIDE the vanity. I didn’t get any pictures. Bad blogger. I was too busy having a COW. Thank goodness for my calm husband. And the fact that the new tile was covered.
The door is painted, too. But, someone lost the screws in the paint-spilling-madness. It wasn’t me. (It was me.) So, eventually there will be a door.
The side of the vanity was unfinished, so Ryan cut a piece of beadboard to fit, which I painted.
I love every little part of this room.
I am really pleased with the white beadboard on the walls. It’s like a different room. In my opinion, there’s nothing like a crisp, clean white in a bathroom. I love it.
And don’t even get me started on the tub fixtures. Suffice to say I love them.
Thanks to CSN Stores, I was able to pick up the Price Pfister set for a lot less. I’m pretty much obsessed with it. I like the chrome and I love the cross handles. I’m very pleased.
I’m still waiting on the faucet for the vanity. Here’s what I chose.
I originally was coveting the hotel wall-mount medicine cabinet from Pottery Barn. But, at nearly $300, I couldn’t justify it.
Well, I found it’s (evil) twin at Home Depot for $100.
I actually prefer the vintage-looking handle on the Home Depot version.
So, that’s the bathroom, at about 90 percent finished. WOOT!
Here’s the dramatic beginning photo compared to today.
What do you think?
(Psssst: Curious about what we’ve done and what else we’ll work on? Check out our updated house list here.)

Looks AWESOME! Love the fixtures and the mirror is great. Totally agree that the home depot is even better than the PB. Awesome when that happens!
Ohmygosh!!!!
That is AMAZING! Seriously, I’m having trouble keeping the drool in my mouth. 😉
I big fat pink puffy heart those light fixtures. The black vanity is SO PERFECT with the tile!! And painting the inside bright teal??? WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!!!

Keep on keeping on! You guys are doing wonderful work!
Totally random, but, I was just painting trim & windows in Joseph’s big boy room (yes, at 12:30am) when I thought of you and all the windows you need to paint. You know those adorable little mini rollers that came with the super de duper free valspar samples? Well, I use them to paint mostly flat trim at a fast pace. They are PERFECT for the job. I get the outer edges/corners with a quick trim brush, but I use the rollers for everything else. I just thought I’d let you know. It might aid you in the Duracell-ness.
Your bathroom is beautiful! I love, love, love that you painted the inside of the vanity turquoise!
it looks fantastic girl! Bathroom and dining room, both amazing! Good job guys!
We have the exact same medicine cabinet in one of our bathrooms. I love it!

Looking very nice guys! I’m so impressed at how you keep making strides. I lived in a house sans trim for over a year thanks to Reno-burnout. Also…I have to…energizer bunny lol not duracell. 🙂 my grandpa worked for rayovac – what can I say, I’m a battery stickler.
We chose the same medicine chest for our reno! I love how big it is and the mirror on the inside.

It is looking great. Oh, and I must disagree with you on one point. You must have the Duracell bunny in you. There is no other way to explain all that you get done. And the way you put the rest of us to shame. :o)
Wow. The bathroom looks awesome! Awesome I say! 🙂
