A little February decor

February 4, 2010 by Kim Woodward

I wouldn’t consider myself Valentine’s Day’s biggest fan. Christmas – yes. Autumn – definitely. But, I just do a little for other holidays, like Valentine’s Day. But, I did have a few cute red-and-pink items that I picked up last year on clearance. The house looks rather lovey-dovey now. Ryan just adores it.

Don’t you love these little wooden hearts? I found them on clearance at Marshall’s last year. I love to find things, box them up and then find them the next year. It’s like a fun gift for myself.
“SURPRISE! Happy Valentine’s Day, Kim. Here are the wooden hearts you bought yourself last March.”
And, these little puppies made me do a happy dance when I found them in the storage tub. =) It’s supposed to be a banner, but I like it on the table, with my lovely new Christmas-turned-Valentine’s Day PB table runner. (Don’t you love that Christmas things can transition through the seasons?)

I cannot WAIT to tell you about the steal of a deal that I got on these candles. Let’s just say that they were free. Thank you, Pier One.

And, you’ve met my wooden blocks.

The runner and towels were also clearance surprises from last year.

And this was my first Cricut project with some scrapbook papers I had on hand. So easy. So cute.

And don’t forget about my felted sweaters-turned-door decor…

Love is in the air (and on the tables, on the walls and in the wall sconces).

Kim, I love it all. You’ve inspired me with several of those projects. 🙂 I have one or two little Valentine’s things out, but I haven’t done much with them. I love your runner and the pretty wood blocks!

So cute Kim! I have a Silhouette and I love making little banners for the smaller holidays. I better get on it or I’m going to miss V-Day.

I don’t actually have anything for V-day, but I always LOVE the stuff in the stores. It’s cheerfully chessy 🙂 Maybe this year I’ll break down and bring some home.

I always have these grand intentions of buying holiday stuff on clearance and then using it next year … but when I try, it’s so PAINFUL to have to wait that I end up not buying anything!

I seriously need to get over that. Your house looks adorable. 🙂

Wait! I want to focus on the red and white striped table runner. Um, LOVE that baby. Your house looks wonderful. Wanna know what I’ve done for the holiday? Yeah, you’re right, nothing.
