Keep it growin’

September 29, 2009 by Kim Woodward

The garden’s still truckin’ along (and by truckin’, I mean that the vines are taking over the yard. I love it.)

The lettuce is looking amazing. It loves its window box home.

The radishes have been delicious.
The eggplant is growing like weed (I’ve picked more than 25 eggplant so far.)
And, I’ve counted more than 20 pumpkins.

I’ll be a little sad when our little garden is gone for the winter.
How is your garden growing?

Your garden looks amazing! The pumpkins are awesome! I’ve got to start over now at our new house. I can’t wait to plant garlic, since I use it in everything!

    Those pumpkins are amazing!

Tell me, what does one do with 25 eggplants?
And what do you have planned for all those pumpkins?

    Enjoy your fall harvest.

    Thanks, gals!

Sue – Ryan and I water it daily, for the most part. Other than that, we only weed and harvest. I probably spent an hour or two at the most per week weeding. Once the plants got bigger, I hardly had to week. I’ve heard that having a square foot garden means less work time in the garden. I’m thinking it must be true. It really hasn’t been overwhelming amount of time, but watering is key. =) Hope this helps.

i was wondering how much time you spend a day/week on your garden. Mine looks horrible and I feel that maybe I don’t give it the time it deserves. Thanks for your input?

So lovely, our garden was horrible this year due to drought and instense heat. But I just got my late fall/winter garden in. Yeah!
