“hi” baby onesie

April 30, 2014 by Kim Woodward

Making baby onesies for gifts has become a bit of an obsession. Making them with heat transfer material gives them an extra fun factor over those you buy in stores. And I’ve found so many great shapes in the Silhouette Online Store that I just keep making new versions.

The most recent version … a cheeky “hi” onesie.

The red onesie is from American Apparel. I used white flocked heat transfer material (provided to me by Silhouette as part of being a member of the Silhouette Design Team).hi onesie2

The shape I picked was the “hi speech bubble.”

Since this was a gift for a little girl, we paired it with a cute red floral headband. But this design could work for a boy or girl, I think.

Now, the sweet little girl will greet everyone she sees.

Do you like this design?

Kim this is SO cute! I really love it on the red onesie. When I was making Evelyn all sorts of onesies I could only find white ones. I had the hardest time finding just solid color onesies. I’m going to have to look further into this. I also (obviously) need a cutting machine asap.

“Hi” love it! definitely gender neutral (everyone thinks Abe is a girl no matter what I put him in these days, anyway. He might need a speech bubble that says, “I’m a boy. But if you get mixed up, it’s really not a big deal. I’m a baby; I don’t notice or care if you think I’m a girl.” I’m not sure that would fit, though, so you should probably stick with “hi” 😉

This is so adorable. I love practically anything you can throw at me where a speech bubble is involved. I should carry one around with me. B would totally have rocked this. He loves red still to this day and wears it frequently 🙂

You totally need a speech bubble to carry with you at all times.

Love it and I think it’s great that you didn’t go with pink for a girl. I love the red
