In addition to the container class, I also had the chance to go to the local Lawn & Garden Show last weekend. I have gone the past few years, and I always enjoy it. This year was no exception.
There were lots of bright colors – which were a big change from the snow outside.
I just adore tulips. I wish I would have got my act together last fall to plant some in our yard…
There were also some tropical plants that caught my eye…
and there was a HUGE waterfall. The photo does it no justice. I cannot imagine how long it took to set this up. They began setting up two weeks ago.
I loved the variety of colors of the flowers. It was fun to see the different types.
And, this was my favorite exhibit – by the University of Illinois Extension – I believe it was by the Master Gardeners.
Perhaps it was the red door and pale blue window boxes …
After a lot of drooling at the lovely displays, I took home this little fella –

I should take lessons as I really want to have flowers this summer.

We had a Venus Fly Trap in gradeschool and I loved it. It was fun taking care of it..haha.
