Friends and Christmas trees

November 24, 2010 by Kim Woodward

So, as far as I’m concerned, the holidays are here. Okay… I know tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so don’t flame me for jumping ahead. But, there’s a reason why I’m in the holiday mood.

My college roommate, Ali, was in town over the weekend. You’ve met her. She and I saw Harry Potter (which, by the way, a-MAY-zing). But, we also hit on the real start of the holiday season for me – Festival of Trees.

This is us by the ginormous teddy bear tree. (Love.)

Emily also met up with us. At which point I decided to go ga-ga over everything holiday and take a gazilla photos.

It’s a magical place…

My favorite nurses by the nurses tree.

And a few of my favorite inspiration photos.

(Corks as garland)

And because we were in the spirit, we promptly made a wreath for Ali’s front door…

and painted some ornaments…

So you’ll forgive me for feeling a little fa-la-la-like. Won’t you?

All those lights and trees do it to me.

When I was little there was a big craft store that opened a huge warehouse-type room at Christmas with a billion themed trees…it was aaaamazing. The room was dark and they had twinkly lights and fake snow everwhere. And I had totally forgotten about that place until right now! So um thanks for the memory Kim 🙂

So that lime green and black mantle? I kinda love it. Annnd your painted ornaments are puuurty too.

    Have an awesome Thanksgiving!

i love all of those trees! we had “fantasy of trees” where i grew up – and it was a thanksgiving tradition to go each year. so fun!

i also want to steal that idea to paint the glass ornaments!

I have been in the holiday spirit early also! But the feeling makes me think of awesome dinners and spending time with my family. So I don’t think you are crazy at all! You provided my point with spending time with your good friends!
