Dearest Electricity:

We’re so happy you decided to come back to us here at 2226. We missed your presence so. There are many things we missed about the time we have spent together –

-We missed the feeling cool air blowing throughout our home,
-We missed the grind of the disposal and the hum of the washer and dryer,
-We missed an area to keep our food cool and make food warm and eatable.

But we won’t dwell on the last two days of misery missing you.

No, we are just happy you are back.

And we aren’t mad at you. Really, we are not. Okay, maybe a little …. mainly we were just mad about losing some food out of our fridge. But we forgive you.

Mostly, we don’t understand why you chose to return to others before us. We feel that we always treated you well, used you sparingly and appreciated you. We’re fairly certain that the mall and other businesses did not. But, we forgive you.

And, we hope to spend many more happy days and nights with you. Please don’t leave us again.
