Dear Deck Fairy:

October 14, 2009 by Kim Woodward

Dear Deck Fairy:
If you are feeling generous, could you come over and make our deck look like Karla’s? This deck seriously haunts my dreams.

via It’s the Little Things that Make a House a Home

The white railings, the lights, the freshly painted boards (although I would prefer stain on ours, if you wondered).
It haunts Ryan’s dreams, too. But, mostly because he’s afraid I’ll force him to do it.
So – If you grant this wish, I won’t ask for anything again….I won’t ask for anything for the rest of the week…..Okay. I won’t ask for anything until tomorrow.
Maybe.
XOXO
Kim

It’s like a fairytale, that deck. Like the Edward Cullen of decks. I LOVE how the planks are on the diagonal.

We put up fairy lights two years ago and love how it makes our deck glow at night. Even my husband who was intially against the idea, loves the look. Especially while floating in the pool at night, makes us feel like there should be a 365 day BBQ with people we love.

    Dear Deck Fairy:

After you grant Kim’s request, can you please send Kim’s super cute deck to me? I envy her table and chairs and fun planter boxes and oh so cute sign. It’s all too well put together and I need it in my backyard.

    XOXO
    Jess

Haha, I love it, that’s gorgeous!

I can’t wait until we purchase a house in early 2010 and have a deck. I would love to decorate it as such 🙂

    Have a great day!
