I have been really enjoying sign-making since Jen so graciously shared her expertise at our sign-making workshop. So, I decided that a fun turkey sign was in the cards for my project this year. I was inspired by the sign pillow made by Jen in the first year of Dare to DIY. So I used a piece of barn board and the turkey was a template from Martha Stewart.
I went with a gobble message, which reminds me of a song we sang in high school madrigal. “Gobble, gobble, gobble, munch, munch, gobble, gobble chomp…” Every time I pass the sign, I sing the song. Henry loves it.
I used chalkboard paint on the turkey, so I think it will be fun to write messages on it. And it goes great with the spruced-up letterpress tray I shared yesterday.
Let’s just ignore the dying fern. This is what we call an experiment. A failing experiment.
I’m loving my little turkey sign. Perfect for Thanksgiving.

Your Gobble sign makes me Gobble with glee! So excited to be a part of Dare to DIY this year! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store. 😉 Much Love!
Love this! And can I add, first time on yourblog, I love the colors of your room. Love the white, gray and yellow combo!

I’m a new reader from the Blog Party! I love that sign!! It is adorable. Makes me want to make one of my own:)
Completely adorable.
Love the sign! Thanks for hosting the link party! This is the first one I’ve ever participated in and I’m so happy to be taking the plunge with you each week!
Love this wooden sign. The silhouette is awesome.
Thank you for hosting. I enjoyed getting my creative juices flowing. Love it and I love your house. Can you come decorate for me?!?!?
This is so cute!! Great job!
A chalkboard turkey!! Love it and the letterpress tray! Keeping plants alive in (and outside for that matter) is overrated. I can’t even keep succulents alive if that makes you feel better!
Oh that’s cute! It goes with your dining room so well. I made a Gobble sign also; can’t wait to link up tomorrow!
I love your sign you created!!! Loved how you used chalk board paint for the turkey! Gobble Gobble! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! (i follow you on Instagram too and I adore Henry!)
Your sign is so darn cute. I still haven’t decided what I will make for Monday, but you know I will come up with something!!
Cute! I love it! And Gobble is such a fun word 😉
It looks great with the letterpress tray!
Love it Kim! So cute next to your new letterpress box! The colors are great 🙂
This is super cute!! Looks great with your tray!
This is gorgeous! But I was very worried I’d missed the link up. C-ya Monday! 🙂
Cuuuute! I’m really starting to get jealous that you and Michelle got to take that workshop, and yet here I sit, woefully untalented at all things sign-related. That looks adorable–very professional–and I love how it looks next to your letterpress tray! Awesome work.
I love it! It works so well in your room! I think that you need to make one just like that for each season – so that you always have something there.
Not sure I’ll be able to participate on Monday, as we’ll just be returning from vacation, but I look forward to seeing everyone’s creativity shining!
Jen has created monsters. I love your turkey. He’s stylish.
Super cute, Kim!
All I can think about is, “You killed our love fern!” lol {how to lose a guy in 10 days} ohhh, i love that movie. the sign looks great! 🙂
Your sign is adorable and it’s the perfect little something up by your letter press tray!
Thanks again for hosting, I can’t wait to see everyones Idea’s on Monday!!
