He tried to run away from me.
But I snatched him.
And rarely let go.
(Until a diaper change was in order. At which point I handed him over lickety-split.)
Do you blame me?
That’s right. In case you didn’t see the big news over at my buddy Shannon’s, Shannon from Shannanigans brought her east coast posse (aka her husband John and son Gabe) to the Midwest for a little NewlyWoodwards quality time.
I’m the luckiest girl in the world. Because I love this crew.
I tried to show them a little of what we have to offer. Which is mostly John Deere and the River. (The Mississippi River, in case there was any confusion.) And of course a little craziness provided by yours truly.
I didn’t want them to leave. I want them to move near me so we can hang out all the time. I tried to convince them. I even have a house they could buy. ๐
I really am so happy to have met such wonderful friends through this little blog. Shannon and John are the sweetest and funniest folks. And I’m just so darn lucky that they were able to visit us.
Can’t wait to see these folks again. Next time, I’m not sure I’m letting the Gabester go home without me.

Wait you live near Moline?! I didn’t know you were that close. We were actually planning a family trip to Moline because my grandpa is a big JD fan and used to sell them for a living. We ended up putting it off until next year but I’d love to know some good places to eat or some reasonable places to stay for about 10 people.
