Well, disappointing news today:
Ryan came home to find water in the basement. This is the first time that this has happened.
Thankfully, most everything was off the ground on shelves (thanks to Ryan for insisting on this). My lovely suitcases got wet but will be fine. I only lost my bag of used gift bags (I’m such a packrat).
It could be worse than that. I cannot imagine what the folks that lost everything in the floods in the area are feeling. It must be such a helpless feeling.
