I was provided with product and/or compensation by BEHR to write this post but, as always, thoughts and opinions expressed are my own!
Once, there was a girl who lived in a barn while building a house. (Technically, her husband was doing most of the building, but stay with me.)
She spent days and days and days in a row painting trim and siding for the new house. She was sick and tired of painting.
But then she got home one night after hours of painting, cracked open a bottle of wine and painted a perfectly good bathroom in a great new color.
Because she’s crazy. But crazy in a good way, obviously.
While the bathroom didn’t actually “need” to be painted, painting the walls in Behr Modern Mint was a quick transformation that I love!
Modern Mint (T16-12) is one of 20 of the 2016 Color Trends from Behr.
I ended up with a quart of four of the colors I loved from this lineup, so you may be seeing some more projects in the next months.
The entire bathroom took less than a quart of paint. Love the coverage of Marquee paint.
I originally began by painting only the crate on the wall, but then I realized that this color would look amazing all over. So I went with it. The color is a perfect complement to the shower curtain (a Pottery Barn hand-me-down from my mother-in-law).
The only area I didn’t paint was the area behind the twig towel holder.
I didn’t want to remove it from the wall and figured the grey looks okay behind there – it frames the area in a way.
But everything else was easy to paint around.
It’s a challenge to photograph such a small space, but the Modern Mint really gives it a little punch of personality it didn’t have before.

Nothing like drinking a glass of wine to inspire spontaneous painting, and I’m loving this color in your bathroom! I also like how you didn’t paint behind the twig towel holder – which is awesome by the way, as is your rake jewelry rack!

The mint really makes your bathroom look lovely. Leaving the gray behind your twig towel hooks really does frame it very well. Nice job!

Kim that’s AMAZING! I need another word because I so want to tell you how much I adore that color transformation! And you absolutely didn’t need to paint behind the twig hooks! It looks like you planned it! ox

Oh, that looks great! And every time you post that twig towel holder, I just keep loving it more and more. My favorite color might be the penthouse view . . . and hopefully I’ll have a house before too long to use it in 😉

Love the color! I am impressed that less than a quart covered all of the walls. That is an impressive feat, no matter how small the bathroom.

Oh, and Modern Mint is my favorite of the trending colors!
