It’s Wednesday – which means is Wines-day. Just kidding. Every day is Wines-day in my world.
And since I love wine, I also end up with a lot of bottles and corks. And I can’t recycle glass in my area, so I hold onto them for inspiration to strike.
Here are a few of the upcycling projects I’ve come up with in the past three months – click over to see them on the Protea blog.
Rake wine station
Using a full rake, this is the perfect outdoor bar area. (And it’s removable so you don’t have to sacrifice your rake.)
Ryan helped me make the copper top for a wine bottle, which resulted in a lovely (and practical) jewelry display for my jewelry “regulars.”
This is the simplest project for a wine and cheese party – use old corks to create cheese labels.
Wine bottle oil and vinegar pourers
Keep oil and vinegar close-at-hand – and more importantly, super cute.
This ring toss is a fun game for all ages – whip one up for your next barbecue.
This was my first experience with bottle cutting, and I’m hooked. I used the top of solar lights to create some ambience on the patio.
I’m already brainstorming projects for the fall and holiday seasons – any ideas I should try?
